Hilltop Hoods make Aussie music history with 1 million album sales
Hilltop Hoods have cemented their status as one of the most decorated acts in Australian music history.
The pioneering hip hop group have now sold over 1 million albums Down Under, helped on by the chart-topping success of their latest album The Great Expanse.
To cap it off, the album’s headline tour has just become the biggest by an Australian act in 2019.
The Hoods performed seven shows in front of more than 80,000 fans during the second leg of the world tour, including a 15,000-strong crowd at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
The Great Expanse is the fifth consecutive album by the Adelaide-hailing outfit to debut at #1.
That takes their overall tally of ARIA Album chart-toppers to six, an unprecedented number among Australian bands.
The Great Expanse world tour will hit 12 additional countries across the globe, including the US and Canada.
