Aussie livestream startup Global Live has partnered with the for its debut event, a concert featuring electronic artist .

The Halloween-themed concert will be live-streamed from the SCG from 9pm on October 31. Tickets are available to purchase from ’s website.

SCG chief executive Kerrie Mather said the show is “another important step in the return to live entertainment”.

“The SCG has hosted all sorts of live sport and entertainment events, but this is a first in its 160-year history. Timmy Trumpet is a global sensation and will bring a whole new audience to our ground,” she said.

For its launch, Global Live has partnered with Vimeo to stream content and relies on Eventbrite for ticketing services. All events are live-streamed, with no pre-recorded or editing. Replays, skipping or rewinding are also not possible.

Speaking to TMN earlier this month, founder Mark Spillane said Global Live isn’t a streaming platform, but a “digital pay-per-view live events producer and promoter”.

“We differ to other live-streaming offerings by providing the music industry with a traditional commercial model that sees artists, agents, management, crew and other support staff all participating in revenues – just like a traditional live event,” Spillane said.

“Although our goal is for these types of events to become an additional revenue stream alongside traditional live events, we feel our operations can especially assist in some relief for artists and event crews globally during this period.”
