Thursday night’s National Live Music Awards were dominated by Gang of Youths and Camp Cope.

54 awards were handed out across eight simultaneous events around Australia, with the national gala hosted by outgoing triple j presenter Dom Alessio at The Grace Darling in Melbourne.

The event was streamed live around the globe on Facebook, with 30 live performances across the eight venues.

Gang of Youths took home the most awards on the night, nabbing Best Live Act, while they also won the public voted award for Live Act of the Year and Best Live Act in NSW. The Sydney band’s singer David Le’aupepe was also awarded The Best Live Voice on the night.

For their part, Camp Cope nabbed three awards, with Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and Sarah Thompson taking home Best Bassist and Best Drummer respectively. The band also won Best Live Act in Victoria.

Amy Shark continued her good form after the ARIAs, as she was awarded the Best New Act and Queensland’s Best Live Voice, while another 2017 breakthrough artist Tash Sultana nabbed gongs for Best Live Guitarist and was recognised for her International Live Achievements.

Another big winner was Perth artist Stella Donnelly who was voted by the public as Best Live Voice as well as Best Live Voice WA.
