UNIFIED Music Group has expanded its funding capabilities within its Community Music platform.

Community Music is a curated distribution platform purpose-built for independent artists. The platform has already deployed more than $4.5 million to independent Australian artists as a part of a larger $10 million commitment to grow their careers.

Now, artists, labels, and rights holders can log into their Community Music dashboard to see how much funding they have available in real time.

Funding offer amounts, which can range from $2,500 to over $5 million, are calculated live each month, using the artist's streaming data and projected royalty income.

Repayment is automatically collected from incoming royalties, meaning no equity changes hands, no rights are transferred, and artists also retain 100% ownership and control.

According to a press release, Community Music is the “first locally-owned Australian business to build data-driven underwriting and funding for the independent sector.”

“To build a sustainable career today, artists need to be constantly touring, recording, and releasing music. For independent artists, that takes a massive financial toll,” says UNIFIED Music Group founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford.

“Easy access to funding is a sure way to help independent artists, in Australia and around the world, grow on their own terms when traditional funding routes are drying up," Comerford adds.

“We built this so artists can see exactly what they're eligible for, calculated against their actual current earnings," says Francesca Caldara, UNIFIED Music Group VP of Recorded Music.

“Funding shouldn't feel like a lottery or a trap; it should just be a support tool for your next tour, album, or campaign," Caldara adds.

The press release further reveals that Community Music funding is already up and running.

Any interested Australian and international independent artists can apply to join the Community Music roster now via the official website
