After the festival sold out in under an hour yesterday, a slew of Splendour sideshows were announced this morning – offering hope to fans too slow or broke to make it to North Byron Parklands in July.

There are clashes, of course: Sydney fans will need to choose between HAIM, Lil Yachty and Bishop Briggs on Thursday July 20, while Rag ’N’ Bone Man, Two Door Cinema Club and Asgeir are all on the following night, Friday July 21.

Bishop Briggs, Bonobo, LANY and Catfish & the Bottlemen are all playing in Melbourne on the Friday, while the Thursday sees headliners Sigur Ros and Queens Of The Stone Age going head to head for those ticket dollars in the city. On the following Monday July 24, the competing Father John Misty, Asgeir and Rag ’N’ Bone Man shows will likely have more than a few punters torn.

Meanwhile, not one act has announced aBrisbane show yet. Stormzy, Lil Yachty, Two Door Cinema Club, Asgeir and Bag Raiders will visit Perth, and Stormzy, Real Estate and Bag Raiders are heading to Adelaide.

QOTSA will play an all-ages show at Darwin’s Convention Centre on July 16.

Future Islands and Schoolboy Q are festival exclusives. Plenty of international artists are yet to announce sideshows, including headliners The xx and LCD Soundsystem, as well as RL Grime, Banks, and Julien Baker.
