Diddy, Beyoncé and Drake among Forbes’ highest paid musicians for 2017

Sean ’Diddy’ Combs, Beyoncé and Drake were high on US business magazine Forbes’ annual Highest Paid Musicians list for 2017.

Diddywas the #1 earner with $130 million between June 1, 2016 and June 1, 2017.

His empire covers everything from music to spirits, clothing and television. His income got a boost from his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour, his Ciroc vodka deal and the sale of one-third of his Sean John clothing line for an estimated $70 million.

The others earned most of their money from slogging it out on the road on extensive world tours.

Beyoncé, who came in at #2 with $105 million, saw a part of her quarter of a billion grossing Formation World Tour fall into Forbes’ scoring period.

Drake, the world’s most-streamed artist in recent years, rounds out the top three with $94 million, much of it from his Boy Meets World Tour.

Only Taylor Swift (#17, $44 million) and Jay-Z (#19, $42 million did not tour extensively during the scoring period.

There was more than a half-century age range on the list, from 23-year-old Justin Bieber (#7, $83.5 million) to 75-year-old Paul McCartney (#13, $54 million).
