Delta Goodrem Fronts Revlon Campaign for Super Lustrous Lipsticks

Delta Goodrem is the face of the latest campaign from make-up brand Revlon.

It marks the first campaign for Revlon’s Super Lustrous product range outside of the US.

The multi-ARIA-Award-winning artist has fronted campaigns for the brand before, but said of this spot: “We’re not one thing, not one moment. It’s about being your authentic self and having the confidence and freedom to embrace all the different sides of your personality and I think that’s an important message to convey,”

The campaign was developed by an all-female core creative and client team with agency Emotive.

Tiara Valder, creative director at the agency, said: “This is the second Australian spot we’ve created for Revlon, and we are so excited to be working with this iconic and modern brand. The first spot introduced Delta as a Revlon ambassador, how she encapsulates the Revlon Live Boldly ethos. Now is the time to tell the Super Lustrous story. We wanted to create something playful and bold and joyous for modern Australian women, exploring the different aspects of ourselves that this iconic lipstick embodies and emboldens with the perfect in-the-moment shade – all 54 of them.”

Amy Kingon Smith, head of marketing for the brand, said the ad featuring Goodrem set itself apart from traditional beauty brand campaigns.

“The spot takes a less traditional path for a lipstick commercial, to be more light-hearted and to embrace change by celebrating the multiple facets of women. With a nod to Australian settings, it is important for Revlon to relate to the Australian consumer and not take ourselves too seriously,” she said.

In addition to the television commercial, Goodrem is part of a stills shoot, as well as social and retail iterations.

Goodrem recently wrapped up her Bridge Over Troubled Waters tour, which was initially designed to promote her No. 1 album of the same name. The tour, like many others, faced delays due to lockdowns and the COVID-19 pandemic. She also released a book in support of the album.

In addition, it’s recently been revealed that Goodrem, along with other superstars including Kylie Minogue and Margot Robbie, will reprise their roles in “Neighbours” as the iconic soap opera wraps up its almost-40-year run.
