Australian Music Week releases the first Aussie and international speaker lineup for the 2018 industry conference

A list of 80 speakers has been revealed for the 2018 Australian Music Week industry conference.

Kicking off from 7-9 November at Cronulla Beach, the grassroots conference is an opportunity for the Australian music industry to come together and connect, form relationships and further discussion and planning on the issues affecting the music world.

National and international guests include Canadian musician health and wellness coach Mike Schwartz; Australian music industry stalwarts Chrissie Vincent, Collarts’ head of entertainment management, and Graham Ashton of Footstomp Music; music tech expert, Hazel Savage; award-winning digital illustrator, musician and artist manager, Deena Lynch aka Spectator Jonze, an award-winning digital illustrator, musician and artist manager with Amplifire Music (Confidence Man, The Jungle Giants) and more.

“Australian Music Week is about breaking down barriers to the music industry,” said conference manager, Jon Howell.

“Australian Music Week is unique in that it is still relatively small, which makes it so much easier for artists and industry to genuinely connect, with actual on-the-ground discoveries, new business relationships and deals forming over the days of the conference.”

They have also announced a full-day of Music Marketing Masterclasses, headed by Samantha Morris (Blank GC/ Gold Coast Music Awards) and Kylie Cobb (Kitty Kitty Bang Bang), with more to be announced.

Over 150 Australian and international performers will be playing showcases across ten venues over the three nights of the conference.

“The opportunities are real, the panels and workshops are highly relevant and the great results we’re seeing for artists, service providers and music buyers grows stronger every year,” said Howell.

“Over the past four years, Australian Music Week has become a haven for hundreds of industry professionals from all sectors with its focus on relationship building, because good business always flows from genuine relationships (and lots of Mexican food!).”

Tickets are on sale now, check out the AMW website for more info and to check out the full list of speakers.
