ARIA Midweek Predictions – 1D Vs. Bieber

Charts & Music Manager

ARIA Singles

Though the ARIA Singles chart may not be so hotly contested as others next week, it should still expect a potential new #1 debut in the form of Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself. His first ever #1 on the singles chart What Do You Mean? is set to move back into the Top 20 whilst The Amity Affliction will see a Top 20 debut for Shine On, their brand new single. This means they are on track to have their highest ever single debut and peak ever on the chart next week as their previous best was Don’t Lean On Me which only hit #20.

In the Top 30 are two expected debuts, another from Bieber, this time The Feeling and Guy Sebastian’s Black & Blue.

ARIA Albums

Here’swhere things get crazy. As no doubt many have predicted, last week’s Friday 13th release day brought aboutthe beginning of a huge sales battle between arguably the two biggest acts in the pop world, One Direction and Justin Bieber. So far it looks like One Direction have just managed to pull ahead with Made In The A.M. slightly leading Justin Bieber’s Purpose. Though it’s been so back and forth that it is going to be tooth and nail until the chart comes out. The battle for #1 sitson par with Oasis vs Blur in the ’90s.

Australian hip hop talking point Kerser is hitting the Top 5 with new album Next Steps whilst Kylie Minogue’s Kyle Christmas and Conrad Sewell’s EP All I Know are set to debut in the Top 10.
