ARIA Chart Predictions: Camp Cope to pierce the Top 5 with sophomore album
Melbourne breakout band Camp Cope are on their way to Top 5 for the first time in the group’s two-year history with second album How To Socialise & Make Friends. Camp Cope’s debut self-titled album spent one week in the chart upon release in May 2016.
j-hope, one of the seven members of Korean boy band BTS, released a solo mixtape Hope World and local fans are eagerly snapping it up. The rapper may even crack the Top 10 depending on the fortitude of other acts such as P!NK (Beautiful Trauma) and Eminem (Revival). Hope World has already debuted at #63 on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting K-pop solo act on the chart.
With his new album Call Out For The Calvary, Australian country artist Andrew Swift will debut on the chart this week (Top 50). Swift has had success on the TMN Country Airplay Chart in the past with two singles (‘Sound The Alarm’, ‘Restless Hearts’) entering the Top 20.
There’s only debut single on the ARIA chart this week with rapper XXXTentacion’s ‘SAD!’ making its way to the Top 40.
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran fans are out in full force this week as his national tour continues to roll out across the country. This means that Sheeran’s 7x Platinum record ÷, as well as singles ‘Perfect’ and ‘Shape Of You’, will push up the charts this week, with ÷ looking to re-enter the Top 3.
