Recently relaunched Sydney nightclub Club 77 has expanded its operations with the launch of CSS, a new independent booking agency, event promoter and touring company focused on electronic music.

The new venture builds on Club 77’s 30-year history in Sydney’s underground music scene, with plans to represent local DJs and producers while bringing international electronic acts to Australia.

Led by Mac Weily and Dane Gorrel, with creative direction from Gabrielle White, CSS will focus on artist development, bookings and touring, with an emphasis on long-term partnerships and transparent industry practices.

The agency has unveiled its inaugural roster, featuring Barney Kato, Barney in the Tunnel, Mazzacles, Phil Smart and Reenie. Further artist signings are expected to be announced.

Alongside its domestic roster, CSS will work with Australian promoters, venues and festivals to coordinate tours for international artists. Its first international touring program will kick off in November, with German DJ and producer Move D and Manchester selector Tarzsa both confirmed for Australian tours.

Weily said: “CSS is a natural extension of what we’ve always done at Club 77: back artists we believe in and bring people together through music. We want to give our roster the support to grow on their own terms, while bringing renowned and emerging international DJs and live acts to Australian dancefloors.”

CSS will continue to expand its roster and international touring activities, with further announcements to follow.
