The festival will make its debut at Ozone Reserve in Perth on Sunday, February 28th, before heading to Brisbane's Gateway Bridge Underpass on Saturday, March 6th.
Featuring two stages across both locations, DRIFT will showcase a mix of international and local electronic artists, with an emphasis on musical discovery and immersive production. Lineup details are yet to be announced.
Each event will take advantage of its surroundings, with Perth's edition taking place by the water over the Labour Day long weekend, while Brisbane's industrial setting will provide the backdrop for a Saturday night of electronic music.
Taking its name from the feeling of drifting between consciousness and sleep, DRIFT hopes to create an experience that encourages audiences to explore different sounds and discover new artists.
Ahead of the launch, Untitled Group has rolled out a mysterious promotional campaign titled "The Drift Study", inviting residents of Perth and Brisbane to participate in a fictional sleep study through a series of clues and an accompanying website.
“There’s something really special about launching a brand new festival, and with DRIFT, we wanted to create something that goes beyond the traditional festival experience,” said Untitled Group Co-Founder and Managing Partner Nicholas Greco.

DRIFT is the latest addition to Untitled Group's growing festival portfolio, which also includes Beyond The Valley, Pitch Music & Arts Festival and Ability Fest.
The Perth edition will be presented in partnership with Garbage, while the Brisbane event will see Untitled Group team up with Ascend and Kindacool.
