ARIA Awards: Nominees unveiled for Best Video at YouTube festival

ARIA and YouTube Music have unveiled the ten nominees for the best video award.

The announcement was made last night at YouTube Festival at in Sydney before 1500 guests.

Public voting is now open, with Aussies able to have their say directly in Google Search.

Fans can vote once per day while signed into their Google Account, until November 20.

Mel Silva, VP & managing director of Google Australia and New Zealand, said: “Music is such an important part of our culture and holds a special place in our hearts, so we’re always looking for ways to help you get closer to the stage.

“There’s a very clear crossover here, with the 2019 ARIA award for best video presented by YouTube Music, a service that delivers a unique music and video experience”

ARIA chief executive Dan Rosen added, “Music videos are such an important way for artists to connect with their fans, and this year’s best video nominees show how much talent we have in Australia, on both sides of the camera.

“YouTube Music’s mix of video and audio streaming make them the perfect presenting partner for this Award.

“They also bring with them the power of Google, and it is a brilliant new initiative for this year that Aussie music fans can vote for the winner using Google Search.”
