The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees fresh faces The Laurels and Dan Sultan take the top spots.
The Laurels debut at #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the title track to their new record Sonicology, having picked up Recommended Album on Edge Radio Hobart, Album of the Week on FBi Radio Sydney and PBS FM Melbourne and Feature Album 2ser Sydney, whilst racking up spots in 4ZZZ’s Top 20, Triple R’s Soundscape. Dan Sultan has moved up to #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Magnetic having picked up Track of the Week on Harvey Community Radio in WA. Den have held onto #2 in the Amrap Metro Charts in their third charting week with Current Riser. The song has amassed spots in FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list and RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection, along with additional airplay all over at stations including Heritage FM in WA, RTR FM Perth, City Park Radio and Edge Radio in TAS, Fraser Coast FM and Valley FM in QLD, Voice FM, 3OCR and 3MDR in VIC, PBA FM, Alex FM, Fleurieu FM and 5 Triple Z in SA, as well as 2MIA, 2SEA, Yass FM and Vox FM in NSW.
Fiona Boyes takes #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Devil you Know. The Mississippi blues single has received airplay at stations across the country including Bay FM, Burnett River Radio and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Radio Goolarri, Voice of the Avon and Radio Mama in WA, 5 Triple Z, Tribe FM and Alex FM in SA, Eastside Radio, 2BBB and Bay FM in NSW, as well as Radio Mansfield, 3RPC, Mountain District Radio, 3WAY, Yarra Valley FM, Seymour FM, 3MGB, Hot FM, and Voice FM in VIC.
Xylouris White enjoy #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart in their third charting week with Black Peak having picked up Feature Album at PBS FM and a spot in fellow Melbourne station Triple R’s Soundscape.
