Amrap Chart Wrap – Roger Knox and Retiree Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Roger Knox and Retiree take the top spots.

Honey voiced ‘black Elvis’ Roger Knox(pictured) has climbed to #1 on the Amrap Regional Chart with his spirit filled single Stranger in my Country. Watch the Koori king of country perform the track live as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Radio Goolarri in WA, Triple R Melbourne, 4ZZZ Brisbane, and Byron Bay FM and FBi Radio in NSW. The country and western single has amassed airplay across the country at Tjuma Pulka FM in WA, Phoenix FM in VIC, 5GTR in SA, as well as VOX FM and Radio Norfolk in NSW.

Retiree have reached the apex of the Amrap Metro Chart with the avant pop single This Place. Listen back to their recent Midday Mix on FBi Radio Sydney, having a chat about their new EP and national tour, as well as their live vinyl mix on FBi’s Spin the Bottle last year. Watch the official film clip featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Triple R Melbourne, FBi Radio Sydney, RTRFM Perth and 4ZZZ Brisbane.

WAAX continue their strong run in the Amrap Metro Chart, coming in at #2 with I for an Eye. Listen to their interview on their hometown station 4ZZZ here. The short, fast and loud track has racked up airplay in every state and territory at stations including Edge Radio Hobart, Hills Radio in SA, 8CCC in NT, Valley FM and 2XX in ACT, Noosa Community Radio and Valley FM in QLD, Wangki Radio and Harvey Community Radio in WA, 2SEA, 2EAR, 2ser, Eastside FM, 2REM, Yass FM and 2GLF in NSW, SYN, 3RPP, Voice FM, 3RPC, OCR FM in VIC.

Melbourne pop blues six piece Saskwatch take #2 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Down the Stairs from their recent PBS Melbourne featured record Sorry I Let It Come Between Us. Watch an unplugged live clip of the song featured via Amrap Pages on Tyga FM in TAS, as well as Triple R and Mountain District Radio in VIC.

All girl Sydney trio Little May have taken #4 and #5 in the Amrap Metro and Regional Charts respectively with their homesick single Home. Watch the official film clip featured via Amrap Pages across the eastern states at stations including 979 FM in VIC, Edge Radio Hobart, 4ZZZ Brisbane, and 2RRR and 2BOB in NSW.

Jake Whittaker has entered the Amrap Regional Chart at #3 with the blues funk single Worry no More. Watch the music clip featured via Amrap Pages on RTR FM Perth, Mountain District Radio in VIC and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW. The track has achieved additional airplay at stations including Fraser Coast FM in QLD, 5GTR FM in SA, 3NRG and The Pulse in VIC, and Port Stephens FM and Macarthur Community Radio in NSW.

Methyl Ethel are back in the Amrap Metro Chart with their conscious pop single Twilight Driving, from their new album Oh Inhuman Spectacle which is currently Album of the Week on Triple R Melbourne.
