New initiative plans to pair hitmakers with emerging Aussie talent [exclusive]

Common Good, a collective of musicians working to expand opportunities for new talent, has announced a new initiative called Common Good Sessions.

It’s a day-long writing collaboration and production workshop for emerging indie-electronic artists to spend a day working with the best in the business to help write, collaborate and produce their music.

Funded by APRA AMCOS, Common Good Sessions also has involvement by Studios 301 and artist management and marketing firm SIEGE JR.

Common Good explains: “If you’re currently working on a track but need that extra input, or want to start something from scratch, Common Good Sessions is your time to shine.”

Common Good is headed by Billy Fox and founded in 2019 to provide an open space for artists to write, produce, perform and collaborate with one another.

Fox and other collective artists Mookhi, Lover, Isy Isy and Reggie Banks, have been making moves in their own spaces recently with releases receiving heavy support from Spotify, Apple Music and triple j along with support from international tastemakers alike.

Expressions of interest are now open until COB Friday, March 20 here.
