F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo shares snippets of new Gang Of Youths music
It looks like Gang Of Youths aren’t too far away from releasing new music.
As GOY fan blog Deepest Sighs points out, Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has shared footage and audio of the band in the studio.
Ricciardo is a known GOY fan, so he’s obviously been invited into a session.
Two separate clips were available on his Instagram story until Wednesday, July 2 at approximately 4pm.
The first clip sounds like a recording of an upbeat guitar-driven melody as Dave Le’aupepe sings over the top.
Then there are two clips of different songs, complete with footage from inside the studio.
The band recently inked a global deal with Warner Bros. Records, but will remain with Sony Music Entertainment for Australia & New Zealand.
Any potential new release will be the first music we’ve heard from Gang Of Youths since 2017 album Go Farther In Lightness, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in August 2017 and for which GOY won four ARIA Awards.
They released an MTV Unplugged album in 2018 which peaked at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
