Independent Chart Wrap: Wild Honey set their eyes on #1

Holding on to the #1 spot this week is Marcus Marr & Chet Faker with The Trouble With Us. Following the trend is Vance Joy’s Fire And The Flood remaining at #2 and Sia’s Alive remaining in the #3 spot for another week.

It seems Sia is dominating the charts with her second single Reaper making an impressive debut at #4, whileChandelier jumps from #10 to #7.

Vance Joy and his hit Georgia jumps two spots from #14 to #12 while Violent Soho re-enters the Top 20 with Like Soda at #16, The Bennies’Party Machine also scrapesback in at #20.

AIR Albums

Sia’s sixth studio album 1000 Forms Of Fear remains at the #1 spot after 78 weeks in the charts. Joining her is long-time chart neighbour Courtney Barnett with her album Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit remaining at #2 for another week.

Seth Sentry’s Strange New Past jumps a spot this week from #4 to #3, swapping with Hermitude’s Dark Night Sweet Light, whichdropsfrom #3 to #4, while Flight Facilities remain at their #5 spot from last week with their first studio album Down To Earth.

Bootleg Rascal make their debut into the Top 20 with their long awaited debut album Asleep In The Machine coming in at #6, while label buddies Sticky Fingers seeCaress Your Soul drop from #8 to #11.

The Smith Street Band’s Throw Me In The River re-enters the Top 20 jumping eagerly to #16, sitting just above Ziggy Albert’s Land & Sea, which remains at #15.

We saw a shift in the Top 3 spot this week as Sydney band Wild Honey jumped a massive six spots with their debut single Eye To Eye jumping from #9 to #3, kicking Boo Seeka’s Fool from the Top 3 and back to #9. Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us holds onto the #1 spot as Vance Joy’s Fire And Flood remains at #2.

Elizabeth Rose re-enters the charts with Shoulda Woulda Coulda coming in at #4, making it her highest point in the charts. The Rubens’Hold Me Back makes its debut into the Top 20 at #6 while World Champion’s Avocado Galaxy sits next to them at #7 jumping a massive 10 spots from last week’s #17.

We see re-entries from Wafia’s Heartburn coming in at #13, Sheppard’s Geronimo at #14, Sia’s Alive at #15 and Polish Club’s Beeping at #16. Meanwhile Methyl Ethyl and their track Rogues makes its debut into the charts at #18.
