Amrap Chart Wrap: Tkay Maidza and Emma Louise Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Tkay Maidza and Emma Louise remain on top.

Adelaide rap queen Tkay Maidza is back in the Amrap Metro Chart, taking the top spot with Ghost having picked up spots in FBi Radio Sydney’s New Music list, SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and Edge Radio Hobart’s recommendation list. Listen back to the track via Amrap Pages on station websites including Byron Bay FM in NSW, RTR FM Perth, as well as Triple R and 979 FM in VIC.

Emma Louise’s Underflow retains the #1 position in the Amrap Regional Chart for the second week running having picked up spots in the Edge Radio Hobart Recommendation list and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16. The track has received additional airplay at stations including City Park Radio in TAS, JOY 94.9 in Melbourne, Radio Alexandrina, Hills Radio, Radio Adelaide and 5GTR FM in SA, as well as Highland FM, Monaro FM, Radio Blue Mountains, Valley FM and 2MCE in NSW.

Gunns return to the Amrap Metro Chart at #2 as well as debuting at #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart. Check out their performance at their hometown station RTR FM Perth’s Courtyard Club, a live outside broadcast of RTR FM’s Drivetime program from the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia Courtyard.

Marlon Williams continues his solid run in both the Amrap Regional and Metro Charts taking #2 and #9 respectively with Hello Miss Lonesome. Listen to his recent interview on FBi Radio Sydney’s Jack Off with Jack Shit, featuring a live performance of an original number and a cover of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Krista Polvere has risen to #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the rollicking single Shut Up and Ride. Toni Swain enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #6 with Take me Away. Listen to her interview with Jamie Travers on 2ser’s Old New Borrowed Blue, discussing her new album. Melbourne cowboys Cash Savage and the Last Drinks have joined the ranks of the Amrap Metro Chart at #8 with Rat-a-tat-tat. The alt-country group have picked up spots in both RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 new music list.
