24 songs shortlisted for APRA Song of the Year

24 songs are on the shortlist for APRA Song of the Year, the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) and Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS) announced this morning.

The shortlist featured songs from an astonishing wide range of artists, covering electronica, EDM, rock, singer songwriters, hip hop, roots and pop.

The APRA awards are held on Tuesday March 24 at Carriageworks in Sydney. Writer, producer, comedian and RocKwiz’s co-creator Brian Nankervis will return for a second year as host. Robert Conley will curate the evening’s live performances where the finalists will be given reinterpretations.

The shortlist came from a ballot by APRA AMCOS members, who now have until 5pm on Thursday January 29 to vote for the winner.
