Wasserman Music Acquires Paradigm’s U.K. Live Music Business

Wasserman Music is expanding its European footprint — and its substantial roster — with the acquisition of Paradigm’s U.K. live music representation business.

Although it’s a Europe-focused development, the enlarged business is global and includes an expanding list of artists from Australia and New Zealand for representation in several territories.

That stable includes Alex the Astronaut, Alison Wonderland, Amy Shark, Anna Lunoe, Baker Boy, BENEE, Budjerah, Death By Denim, Fisher, Flume, G Flip, John Butler Trio, Lorde, Mallrat, Paul Kelly, Ruby Fields, Sia, Sycco, Tash Sultana, The Teskey Brothers, Tones And I, and Vance Joy.

On the flip side, Wasserman represents major global stars for Australia including Alan Walker, Alessia Cara, ATEEZ, Baby Keem, Bastille, Billie Eilish, Clean Bandit, Disclosure, DJ Snake, Drake, Frank Ocean, Imagine Dragons, Jack Harlow, Jason Mraz, Kacey Musgraves, Kaytranada, Kenny Chesney, Louis Tomlinson, Normani, ODESZA, Pharrell, Sara Bareilles, Sia, Skrillex, Snow Patrol, SZA, Tai Verdes, The xx, and Zedd.

The arrangement, announced Tuesday (April 26) in Los Angeles, sees U.K. partners Dave Hallybone, Alex Hardee, Tom Schroeder and James Whitting join the Wasserman Music managing executive team.

Hallybone, Hardee, Schroeder and Whitting founded CODA Agency in 2002, and partnered with Paradigm in 2014 before switching to the Paradigm brand in 2019.

“The pandemic was incredibly testing for the industry. It really made us all look at everything we have achieved and where we were going,” Schroeder comments in a statement.

“What we saw in Wasserman was a company very different from others – dynamic, fast-moving, open, and honest. The commitment from our staff was incredible, and I couldn’t be more proud and determined to continue our journey.”

Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Wasserman Music launched in April 2021 with the acquisition of Paradigm’s North American live music business.

With the addition of a Wasserman Music office in London, Wasserman boasts more than 30 offices in 14 countries on three continents.

And now, the merged agency’s representation of acts outside North America includes Bon Iver, FKA twigs, Lewis Capaldi, Liam Payne, Mark Ronson, My Chemical Romance, PinkPantheress, Rag’n’Bone Man, Rita Ora, Robyn, Sean Paul, Shawn Mendes, Take That and X Ambassadors.
