Vance Joy unveils track listing for Nation of Two album

Vance Joy – one of the biggest Australian music exports with 1 billion Spotify streams and 2 million album sales – has released the cover art and tracklist for his sophomore album Nation of Two.

The 13-track record is out in Australia and New Zealand through Liberation Music and Atlantic Records throughout the rest of the world on February 23.

The Melbourne singer songwriter explains, “Nation of Two describes a perfectly self-contained couple; their world beginning and ending at the bed they share, the car they ride in, or any other place where they’re together…

“The idea that their love for each other gives them their bearings; a point of reference that makes sense of life.”

This morning his new single ‘We’re Going Home’ had its world premiere on triple j Breakfast.

Its accompanying video was directed by Mimi Cave, who handled similar duties for last year’s platinum-selling hit ‘Lay It On Me’ which remained in the ARIA chart for six months.

The release of Nation of Two kicks off a hectic round of global touring and festival appearances including Coachella and Shaky Knees.

It follows a busy 2017 during which he released and promoted the singles ‘Lay It On Me’ and ‘Like Gold’, and played the global stages of festivals as New York City’s Panorama, Chicago’s Lollapalooza, San Francisco’s Outside Lands, Austin’s City Limits Music Festival and Montreal’s Osheaga Festival.

He added to his tally of ARIA nominations as well as his use of his music in TV and movies including Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, animated feature Storks and acclaimed film The Big Sick.

Of his global sales of two million, more than 125,000 were in Australia, where he’s notched up 20 platinum accreditations for singles and album,

His breakthrough single ‘Riptide’ has sold six million copies.
