Vampr Raises Further $920k in Latest Equity Crowdfunding Round
Vampr, the LA-based music tech startup from Australian founders Josh Simons and Baz Palmer, has closed its third funding round raising, $920k through an equity crowdfunding campaign.
Vampr positions itself as “LinkedIn for musicians,” a free social and professional app for musicians looking to network, collaborate and distribute their work.
Launched in 2020, it has grown to 1.5 million global users and last month was named by Fast Company as one of the most innovative music companies of the year.
The latest capital raise brings Vampr’s total funding through the Wefunder platform to US$2.1 million, placing it amongst the highest raising companies in Regulation CF history.
There is no slowing the growth of Vampr. It has also just announced the opening of a separate $2 million private funding round to fuel further product development this year.
Co-founder Josh Simons said: “Our recently closed crowdfunding round, in conjunction with our ongoing private round, will enable us to further invest in the development of our platform as we set our sights on bringing even more innovation to the music industry.”
Vampr also said its users average 31 minutes per day on the platform, more than three times longer than the average LinkedIn session. It plans to have 2.8 million users by December, 2022.
