Troy Cassar-Daley & The McClymonts among the headliners for Toyota Country Music Festival 2018

With over 700 artists performing at over 2,800 events across 120 venues, the Toyota Country Music Festival is returning in 2018 with some of Australia’s top country acts.

Headlining next year’s bill is Troy Cassar-Daley, Lee Kernaghan, The McClymonts, Sara Storer, John Williamson and Adam Eckersley Band. They will take the stage over the course of ten days from January 19 to 28.

Returning to Tamworth’s Long Yard and Southgate Hotels are Hurricane Fall, The Pigs, The Viper Creek Band and Cruisin Deuces, while Shane Nicholson and Catherine Britt will be back in their regular spots at The Pub.

“Across the ten days of the Festival, the city will be filled with Australian country music legends, newcomers, award winners, and buskers, showing the rest of the world why Tamworth is the place to be in January,” said festival Manager Barry Harley.

ARIA Award nominee Fanny Lumsden and triple CMC Award winner Travis Collins will make their Tamworth debuts in 2018.

The event is supported by the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. It is expected to attract 13,700 overnight visitors and deliver more than $13 million to the local economy.

NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall is encouraging fans of the genre to get behind the event and celebrate its 46-year history.

“As the largest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the top 10 in the world, this iconic event has cemented Tamworth’s reputation as Australia’s country music capital,” Marshall said.

Rounding out the festival, the 46th Golden Guitar Awards will be held on Saturday 27 January 2018 at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.Nominations for the awards will open towards the end of August.

Tickets for the Toyota Country Music Festival 2018 will be available to the general public on August 1.
