KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD
Gamma Knife

You cannot deny the prolific nature of Melbourne’s King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – just when you’ve finished digesting one album, the psychedelic-seven piece throw a new release straight back at ya.

Nonagon Infinity will be their eighth album in three years and is influenced heavily by metal lords such as Black Sabbath, Motӧrhead and Metallica, the complete opposite to the acoustic, folksy sounds of their last release Paper Mâché Dream Balloon.

It’s also going to be the world’s first infinity looping album, with each song flowing onto the next and then looping back onto itself at the end, making it potentially the last album you’ll ever need to buy.

Their first single Gamma Knife (named after a surgical tool that burns cuts into skin) is a total face melter, packed to the rafters with fuzzy riffs, frenetic harmonica and a drum solo in 11/8 time. Nonagon Infinity will be looping on your stereo from April 29 (and until the end of time).
