Tones And I to perform at Nine’s Carols By Candlelight special

Tones And I has been announced as a performer for Vision Australia’s Carols By Candelight special, airing on Nine and presented by AAMI.

It will mark Toni Watson’s debut performance on the annual programme, which will take place at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

The programme will air from 8pm on Friday, December 24 on both Channel 9 and 9Now.

Last month, it was announced that David Campbell and Ally Langdon will be returning as hosts.

In addition, other special guests throughout the evening will include Anthony Callea, David Hobson, Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino, Tim Campbell and Denis Walter.

This year’s event will be allowed to proceed with a full-capacity crowd, with profits from ticket sales going to Vision Australia to help families whose children are blind or have low vision.

Langdon said she can’t wait to be back hosting the event this year.

“I love Christmas. It’s such a special time of the year, especially when you have small kids. I couldn’t be happier to be part of Australia’s much-loved Christmas Eve tradition and to help raise money for children and their families who are blind or have low vision,” she said.

David Campbell echoed these sentiments, saying it was an honour to return as host for the annual event.

“Christmas is such a lovely time of the year, and we go all out in our house. I’m honoured to once again be part of such a Christmas Eve tradition, and to be able to bring some Christmas joy to families all over Australia. It’s always a wonderful night for a great cause, raising much-needed funds for Vision Australia, and after such a tough year for millions of Australians, I’m so glad that crowds are back to help lift our Christmas spirits.”
