Tired Lion signs to Dew Process/UMA, to play Glastonbury

PRESS RELEASE:

After seizing Australian rock fans by the scruff of their necks in 2015 – winning triple j’s prestigious Unearthed Award, tearing down the main stage at Splendour In The Grass, claiming the WAMI for Best Rock Song, and supporting the likes of The 1975, Kingswood and Luca Brasi – Dew Process and UMA haveannounced that Perth’s Tired Lion have become a part of their family of artists.

And if you think the combination Sophie Hopes, Matt Tanner, Ethan Darnell and Nick Vasey dominated 2015 off the back of killer singles like ‘Suck’ and ‘I Don’t Think You Like Me’, then you’d better hold on for what’s in store for the epic year ahead.

Firstly, they’re embarking on their first ever UK/European tour – including playing the Glastonbury Festival in June. Yes, that Glastonbury. So much for, “no Aussie bands on the line-up this year.” They’ll be standing on the same hallowed stages that have filled music fans’ dreams for generations, alongside the likes of Adele, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, and Muse to name but a few.

Secondly, they’re going to be giving fans one last chance to catch them live before their UK/Europe invasion with a whirlwind tour of Australia, including rock clubs in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and their hometown Perth, starting May 19. Tickets are on sale Thursday, April 14 at 9:00am AEST.
