Sony Music launches ‘Time to Talk’ podcast with Sean Sennett
Time to Talk, a podcast featuring in-depth interviews with musicians, artists, authors, leaders, thinkers, actors, film makers and sports people, launches today.
It’s presented by Sony Music Australia and is hosted by music industry journalist Sean Sennett.
Sony Music said the podcast continues its diversification and commitment to providing multiple marketing opportunities for artists and talent to share their stories. It is the company’s first “homegrown foray” into podcasting, after its global operation increased its focus on the medium.
The first episode, available here, features Darryl Braithwaite, and upcoming guests include Amy Shark, Josh Pyke, Pete Murray, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Troy Cassar-Daly, Ruel, Colin Hay and John Schumann. Acclaimed author of Boy Swallows Universe, Trent Dalton, as well as sports stars Dennis Lillee, Steve Waugh, and Johnathan Thurston will also appear.
Sennett has over two decades of experience chatting to the industry’s top talent, including David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen, as well as emerging local and unsigned bands.
He said the launch of the podcast was a thrill.
“Denis Handlin and the team at Sony Music Australia are committed to bringing the best talent that is possible to the series, creating a special forum for conversation,” he said.
Handlin praised the podcast and its host.
“I have always had tremendous respect for Sean Sennett and I am so pleased that he has decided to join our company for Time to Talk,” he said. “His unique ability to sit down with talent and make them feel incredibly comfortable to share their story is a gift.”
The podcast will drop weekly and be supported by a weekly Time to Talk playlist.
