“There’s a real country renaissance in the air”: TMN Country Chart adds new contributors

TMN’s Country Airplay Chart, the industry standard for country airplay in Australia, has added ABC Country and iHeartCountry to its growing list of contributors.

With the recent addition of these two stations, the chart will continue to provide an increasingly accurate and true representation of country airplay in Australia.

ABC and iHeart join exisiting contributors KIX, CMC, Triple M Country, 98.9 FM Brisbane and Hot Country Network.

Katherine Devaney, ABC Country programmer & producer, says the inclusion of a non-commercial station will add a new dimension to the chart.

“As a champion of Australian arts and culture, the ABC has a long tradition of supporting Australian country music. 

“ABC Country works closely with key industry figures to support both emerging and established artists who may not be receiving airplay from commercial networks.”

Brett Nossiter, iHeartRadio content director, says “iHeartRadio’s inclusion in the weekly country music chart is validation of our efforts and motivates us to continue to promote the amazing pool country music stars we have in this country.

“Country music has a massive fan base that has been under-serviced for many years,” Nossiter adds, “but iHeartCountry Australia is committed to showcasing this genre for the fans.”
