Chugg, Noble & Sutherland up for international award
Three Australian live music executives are nominated in the International Entertainment Buyers Association Awards.
These are held in Nashville next month, as part of the association’s conference, which runs October 27—29.
The three are in the International Buyer of the Year category.
Michael Chugg – Chugg Entertainment, for his expanding the country music circuit by booking international superstars for tours and the sell-out CMC Rocks Queensland.
Peter Noble – Bluesfest Touring, as head curator of Bluesfest Byron Bay which this year drew an aggregated 100,000crowdand generated $83.4 million to the NSW economy .
Bec Sutherland – Live Nation Australasia, its director of comedy for Australia and New Zealand since 2012, with Tim Minchin’s BACK tour expanding dates and set for a victory run in 2020.
The three Aussies are up against Steve Homer (AEG Presents UK), Simon Jones (EG Presents UK), Jobst-Henning Neerman (KBK Konzert GmbH, Germany) and Riley O’Connor (Live Nation Canada) in the category.
