Australian operations of TAG, Cargolive, set up joint venture
The Australian operations of two global companies involved in getting the live entertainment industry moving have set up a joint venture.
TAG is a 30-year-old travel and event specialist with a focus on live entertainment, with offices in the UK, US and the Asia Pacific region.
Cargolive Australia is part of touring freight operator, the Rock It Cargo Group of Companies.
“We have worked with some of the largest names in entertainment over the years, moving hundreds of thousands of people around the globe,” TAG’s APAC boss Shane Barr said.
“This joint venture with Cargolive will now give us the opportunity to be able to consolidate the work of already overstretched tour managers and promotes, allowing them to come to one place for all travel and freight needs.”
The two businesses expect the move to be under the same roof to consolidate their synergies and remove an unnecessary level of administration and planning.
“Having everything under one roof will be a huge benefit to all of our clients,” Trent Powell said, business development manager for the Cargolive operation in Australia.
“We’ve known of TAG’s reputation in the market over the years, so we know the quality of service we’re recommending. It makes perfect sense to be able to offer high-quality travel experience to everyone we work with.”
TAG has five specialist travel divisions – including touring, film and media, corporate, events and private travel – while Cargolive covers freight services for global-scale events to the transportation of fine arts and even vehicles.
Plans are for the Australian partnership to extend globally in 2021.
