The Aussies will mark the opening night of the festival (Tuesday, September 10) with three names performing four one-hour “in the round” sings & stories sets at the iconic Bluebird Café.
This year A Taste of Australia moves to InDo on the 12th’ where acts will play two songs each.
The Aussie BBQ (14, at The 5 Spot in East Nashville) remains the largest showcase of Australian Americana in North America with 12 acts and seven hours of live music.
Australia is also represented at the conference, with Dobe Newton joining the Valuing Music And The Arts panel (13) to discuss the economic and cultural value of music production and performance, in particular at the grassroots level.
Sounds Australia has put together a playlist of Australian Americana on Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube.
