Seismic Talent launches with gender parity across roster
Sydney-based Seismic Talent Agency has officially launched with a gender parity roster and big ambitions.
The agency soft launched a few months ago, and represents artists such as Alison Wonderland, Example, The Presets, Carmouflage Rose, George Maple (in collaboration with her production company The Process), Kult Kyss, Essie Holt, Lucille Croft, Jess Kent and Running Touch among others.
“Reaching gender parity in our client roster is a goal I’ve been making meaningful work towards over the last several years as an agent,” director Joel Siviour said.
“Reaching this milestone as the director of my own agency is truly the cherry on top. Diverse representation and the prioritisation of unique stories and perspectives is a core value.
“It means a lot to me that we’ve been able to embody the change we wish to see in the music industry and it’s an area that we plan to continue leading in for the years ahead.”
Siviour started his career as a promoter for community-focused events in the Adelaide Hills.
He then worked in agencies including Archery Club, Select Music and Falcona.
Seismic Talent is “focused on empowering its artists to achieve their strongest results in touring throughout the Asia-Pacific region”, according to Siviour.
The agency seeks to work with “ambitious, unique and groundbreaking domestic talent to curate bespoke and boutique touring strategies”, while kick-starting artists’ global careers.
This comes at a time when much of the east coast is lifting border restrictions and kick-starting domestic tours, state governments are funding the return of live music, and the federal government has set out a roadmap to safely bring venues back to full capacity.
