Rolling Stone International seeking Sydney-based content creators

Rolling Stone International is making swift moves to grow the brand’s global audience with new investments across the United Kingdom and Asia Pacific.

The company is currently calling for staff writers and content creators across four specific locations: Sydney, London, Jakarta and Singapore.

Increasing local music and entertainment editorial coverage outside of the US marks a key focus for the editorial brand in 2019, as well as delivering high quality content that is globally relevant.

Regular live events in core international locations are also part of Rolling Stone’s expansion plans this year.

Only a year ago, Rolling Stone Australia’s publisher, Paper Riot Pty Ltd, went into external administration, seeing the collapse of one of the country’s most coveted brands.

Upon Paper Riot’s demise, RSA’s license was reverted back to its parent company and owner Rolling Stone International.

The publications’s 48-year existence in Australia was the longest-lasting international version of the legendary brand.

Among its editors were Ed St. John and John O’Donnell who went on to head BMG, Warner Music and EMI, respectively.
