Ditto Music has announced an exclusive partnership with brand new Sydney music label Rola Door Records.

Musicians Siobhan Krelle (Fluir) and Jessica Nitties (Sparrows) are at the helm of the new project, which launches today (Thursday, February 20) through music distributor and record label service Ditto.

Rola Door pitches itself as a new age label which is run by artists, for artists. Initially it will house Fluir and Sparrows’ publishing, compilations, collaborations and special curated events, as well as a creative space for emerging artists to network.

Krelle and Nitties will work to ensure Rola Door Records stands strong as an independent label in a landscape of majors; a pop/dance music powerhouse offering quality music that will provide quality pop writing and production for other artists as well as songs for sync.

“We endeavour to support each other in our music careers and develop our songwriting, production and performance skills in an environment that promotes creativity through building on strong connections with artists and the wider industry,” say the pair.

“We see a real opportunity to not only nurture the development of each other’s music abilities but also importantly share our experience and support to other emerging artists over the coming years.”

2019 was a huge year for both artists. Fluir supported Nyxen on a sold out Australia tour and secured worldwide sync placement with DoorDash and locally Myer Stocktake Sale,

She also landed commercial radio ads on KIIS FM, The Edge 96.One and the Hit Network, as well as peaking at #9 on the ARIA Club Charts. She’s set to release her new single ‘Make Me Feel’ in April, ahead of her forthcoming Just Us EP.

Sparrows supported Northeast Party House on their sold-out 2019 tour, and has copped rotation on triple j and FBi radio with her previous single ‘Over & Out’, before reaching #6 on the Spotify Australia Viral Charts.

Her forthcoming single ‘Hide & Seek’ is a collaboration with Japanese Wallpaper, due for a March 3 release.

“We are really excited by the launch of Rola Door Records, and think that this is definitely needed in the Australian music industry right now,” says Ditto regional manager ANZ, Sarah Hamilton.

“There are a lot of strong female artists and people within the music industry, but support is always valuable and mentorship can produce incredible results.

“This label and partnership is about more than just music, it’s about nurturing and supporting artists so that they can thrive in the industry long term. Ditto Music are behind this 100%.”

Ditto Music was founded by Matt & Lee Parsons in 2007, and supports over 250,000 artists and labels out of 25 offices worldwide.
