Queensland Music Awards unveil $20k songwriting prize & 2019 judges panel
Queensland peak music association QMusic this morning unveiled the first details of the 2019 Queensland Music Awards.
The seventh edition of the awards stages at the Royal International Convention Centre at Brisbane Showgrounds on Tuesday, March 19 March.
Tickets will be available to the general public early next year.
Deadline for song and video entries for the awards is November 12.
Songwriters can enter their songs in a wide range of self-nominating categories to be eligible for the $20,000 Song of The Year prize.
Now in its second year, it was won in 2018 by Jeremy Neale, who was honoured with a plaque on Fortitude Valley’s Walk of Fame to commemorate the achievement.
