TMN to reveal radio’s most-heard songs in Q2 Singles Report
Mark Ronson was undoubtedly the top performer at Australian radio in Q1 with ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, but a lot can change in three months.
The Q2 Singles Report is out Monday, July 8, and with plenty of notable debuts and the return of pop’s biggest names, a new artist is set to take the quarterly crown.
P!NK, Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift all summited the Hot 100 in Q2, but consistent runs by overseas acts Lewis Capaldi, The Chainsmokers and Mabel puts them in contention.
“International artists have a long history of topping the quarterly airplay chart,” said Peter Tuskan, TMN charts & new music editor.
“It appears as though the trend will continue throughout the rest of 2019 with the likes of Ed Sheeran/Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Shawn Mendes hitting their strides.”
Overall, the Q2 Hot 100 features 26 singles from Australian artists, four more than Q1.
