Pines, Feels & more announced as first showcasing artists at EMCPLAY LIVE 2018
The first showcasing artists for EMCPLAY LIVE have been announced in a program curated by triple j unearthed music director Dave Ruby Howe.
Six of the showcases 12 acts have been announced, they include:
- Cleopold, aka singer-songwriter Geordie Hewitt who has racked up over 6 million streams on her most recent single Down In Flames.
- Perth outfit Feels who have popped up on the lineups on Listen Out, Falls Festival, Laneway and more.
- Production duo HI LIFE who most recently were signed to Future Classic and have been travelling around supporting Scottish artist SOPHIE.
- Brisbane based multi-instrumentialist LÂLKA who combines pop vocals with electro production.
- Adelaide electro duo PINES who took out triple j’s FOMO comp in 2017.
More acts are set to be announced as the event draws nearer.
EMCPLAY LIVE is complementary to the conference portion of the multi-day event which will feature workshops and keynotes from the likes of DJ duo Human Movement, Sydney-based producer Mickey Kojak, house fanatic Beth Yen and mixing legend Klaus Hill.
EMCPLAY LIVE will take place at The Landsdowne on Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15 from 8pm until 1am. Entry is free for EMC conference pass holders.
