Perfect Pitch relocating from Sydney to Perth
Perfect Pitch Publishing is relocating its headquarters from Sydney to Perth.
Co-Managing Director Clive Hodson explains, “We have identified a need and opportunity in relocating Perfect Pitch, to Perth, as the company becomes the only full-service publishing company operating in Western Australia.
“I’m proud to be able to represent this opportunity to WA writers.”
Perfect Pitch has a strong presence in WA, including being a major sponsor of WAM Song of the Year competition and recent sponsorship of the Fairbridge Festival Quest Youth Song-Writing competition.
Long term PPP signing XtortYa have toured Europe and the UK three times. The last saw them play 36 shows.
Hodson was born in Perth and played in band in that city before joining PolyGram Records in 1978 and worked there for 25 years. Stints as Head of Music at ABC Records and Managing Director of Shock Music Publishing followed.
“I’ve always stayed in touch with WA music and continuingly been blown away with the creativity and continuous success of artists,” Hodson says.
Hodson will be making regular client and writer visits to the East Coast, and also fulfil his board responsibilities with the Australasian Music Publishers Association (AMPAL) on which he is Deputy Chairman and The Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS) where he is a non-executive Director.
