Sunshine Coast station launches new program with former Voice runner-up
92.7 Mix FM launched a brand new local show Sunday – Up Close and Percival. It features The Voice runner up and Sunshine Coast local; Darren Percival.
Content Director Ryan Khay said: “He is such an iconic Sunshine Coaster, we wanted to give him his own show. Who doesn’t want those dulcet tones and larger than life personality on their station! His passion for radio, and the Sunshine Coast is infectious.”
GFK Newcastle Survey 2 Released
Last Friday the latest GFK survey for Newcastle was released.
SCA’s KO FM remains on top at #1 with All people 10+, five points clear of any other commercial station with 15.3% .The ABC brands did well. Local ABC 1233 is 2nd overall with 11.1% and with triple j nailing 10.8%.
2HD and New FM have gained some ground. For them, 2HD is the standout with a 1.5 swing in their favour. 2HD is second in the commercial stakes (4th All stations) with 10.3%, up from 8.8 in survey one. Their other brand, New FM is ranked 4th in the commercial race (6th overall).
For SCA’s NX FM, they are into single figures compared to survey one. NX secured 9.7%, down from 10.3 last round. But for NX in the commercial space they are ranked #3 in the market and 5th overall for all stations 10+.
GFK Gold Coast Survey 2 Released
SCA’s Gold FM remains on top but have lost ground with All people 10+ share, 2.1 percent down to 15.0%. Hot Tomato, is clearly the big mover. They have strengthened their position in Survey 2, increasing by 1.6% to hold second spot with All people 10+, with 13.9% of the market.
Not a pretty picture for SCA stable mate SEA FM, they copped a hammering also losing 2.1 percent, down to single figures at 8.8%.
