Odette signs global deal with Universal Music Publishing Group

Universal Music Publishing Australia has announced the signing of emerging singer-songwriter Odette to a global deal.

The Sydney artist broke through in 2017 with her debut single ‘Watch Me Read You’ followed by a slew of stunning live performances at BIGSOUND 2017.

Her latest single ‘Take It To The Heart’ sees her trajectory continue its upward direction, and Odette will release her debut album To A Stranger on July 6.

“Odette is the kind of person that you are instantly drawn to and her songwriting is an extension of that,” said vice president/creative at UMPG Australia & NZ Arwen Hunt.

“Lyrically clever and melodically captivating, she is a poet and a storyteller. Her songs put a new spin on classic subjects and we can’t help but hang on every word. It’s an absolute pleasure to have her join the UMPG global family and we couldn’t be happier in making this announcement”

Odette is set to perform at Sounds Australia’s showcase at UK festival The Great Escape later this week, before she returns to Australia for a national tour in August.
