Niriko McLure launches Third Person Management with Jarryd James, EGOISM & more: Exclusive

Niriko McLure launches Third Person Management with a four-strong artist roster and creative director services, TIO can exclusively reveal.

Based in Sydney, McLure’s new artist management venture is active in development, marketing and promotion, touring and live strategy support, and has a keen approach to developing an artist’s long game.

Currently, Third Person boasts a stable of indie shoegaze duo EGOISM, dance-pop artist and creative Chela Etc, tomboy-electronic artist and producer HANDSOME and ARIA Award-winning songwriter and producer Jarryd James, whose forthcoming second album P.M, is slated for release 22nd January, 2021.

Niriko takes into the new business an impressive skill set in creating and executing global campaigns for artists and labels outside of the roster, gaining experience with Specific Music (Universal) and Original Matters and working closely on BTS album campaigns and much more. She will continue to offer this service.

“Having the ability to take on projects and creatives based solely off my decision and instincts is a wonderful freedom, and working with a diverse roster allows me to look for opportunities on all sides of the industry,” McLure tells TIO.

McLure got her start in the music industry as an artist manager back in 2007 with hip-hop crossover artist Snob Scrilla, a signing to Ivy League Records/Mushroom.

Later, in 2012, Niriko shifted to Wonder Music Co. in the role as General Manager, with responsibility for signing and developing the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, Matt Corby, Unearthed High artist Taj Ralph, Liberation Music’s R.W. Grace, Island Records’ Lakyn, and she had duties for the publishing arms (with Sony ATV) and label 1825 with flagship artist Fountaineer.

Also coming up for Third Person Management is the release of EGOISM’s debut EP, On Our Minds, coupled with a run of launch dates this month in support.

Jarryd James’ followup will be closely followed around the globe. The Brisbane singer and songwriter’s debut single ‘Do You Remember’ won Best Pop Release honours at the ARIA and APRA Awards after hitting No. 2 on the national singles chart. His debut studio album Thirty One also reached No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and was warmly received by critics from NME, Billboard and others.
