BMG has announced that it has signed Australian band Parcels to a global publishing deal.

The deal covers a catalogue that has generated more than 1.5 billion streams for the Berlin-based outfit, which was led by BMG Managing Director, GSA, Jasper Niebuhr, with “key contributions” from Alistair Norbury, Monti Olson, and Heath Johns.

“Parcels are one of the most distinctive and compelling bands of their generation,” Niebuhr said in a statement.

“Their extraordinary musicianship, songwriting, and creative vision have enabled them to build a truly global career on their own terms, without compromising what makes them unique.

“With their Australian roots, creative history in Berlin, and strong presence in the US, they embody a truly international spirit. We share their ambition to keep pushing boundaries and are excited to bring the strength of our global network to the next chapter of their remarkable journey.”

The band’s manager, Birger Luedemann, said BMG’s enthusiasm across territories was what decided the deal.

“What really stood out to us was the genuine excitement for Parcels across the entire BMG team,” Luedemann said. “From Berlin to London, the US, and Australia, we felt a shared understanding of the band’s vision and a real ambition to build something special together. We’re incredibly excited about this partnership and look forward to bringing some amazing projects to life as we look ahead to what’s next for Parcels.”
