Olivia Rodrigo is hosting a new music festival with an all-women lineup.

The inaugural festival, called Daisy Chain Fields, will take place at Great Park in Irvine, California on August 29th.

The lineup is stacked, featuring the likes of Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Garbage.

“Truly never felt more excited to share a piece of news with you all. i’ve had a dream of doing this festival for years and i am so ecstatic it’s finally coming true!!,” Rodrigo wrote on social media in announcing the festival. “Daisy Chain Fields features an all-women lineup and 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls.”

The pop superstar added: “The lineup is truly insane and full of my heroes and friends. i firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change and I’m hopeful this festival will be just that. I absolutely cannot wait to scream and dance and sing with you guys August 29th!!!!”

The lineup also features Mitski, The Breeders, KATSEYE, Rachel Chinouriri, and so many more alongside curator Rodrigo, who will perform across two stages.

Special guests are set to include Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks.

Rodrigo's event will benefit a number of women-and-girls-focused non-profit organisations, including Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeForm, Jhpiego, John Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.

In other Rodrigo news, the US artist recently released her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love

Rodrigo unsurprisingly took out the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart following her record's release. Her first album, Sour, spent eight weeks at No. 1 in 2021, while Guts topped the chart for two weeks in 2023.

“This could well be the giddiest we’ve ever heard Rodrigo,” Rolling Stone wrote in a review of her new album. “Rodrigo has always proudly displayed her references, drawing from Nineties rock and riot grrrl bands like Hole and Babes in Toyland on past collections, but here, she’s doing more than paying homage; she’s woven a sonic tapestry that any of her icons can fit into.

"Fans craving more aggressive, pop-punk energy might have trouble getting into the new sound at first, but Smith’s appearance is a testament to just how well it works.”
