Music Victoria Confirms New Round of Funding For Local Industry
Music Victoria has officially announced this week the latest round of Victorian Government grants for the local music industry.

Music Victoria has this week announced the latest round of Victorian Government grants for the local music industry.
For the first time, the state peak body will deliver Music Works, while 10,000 Gigs is officially set for August.
Music Works supports artists, music workers and industry organisations and businesses for activity between November 1st, 2026 and October 30th, 2027, across two streams - activation grants of $5,000 (fixed), and project grants of $10,000–$40,000. Funded activities include songwriting, recording, marketing, touring, and professional and business development, with grants also directed toward initiatives that increase diversity and accessibility and demonstrate cross-industry collaboration.
Meanwhile, 10,000 Gigs provides grants to licensed live music venues and other venues that host live music in Victoria, to stage paid performances by Victorian artists.
"Victoria is Australia's independent and live music capital because of the extraordinary artists, venues, festivals and music businesses that make up our music community," Music Victoria CEO Fiona Duncan said.
“Music Works and 10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund invests directly in that community, supporting the people and businesses that create great music, present live performances and build sustainable careers.”
“We're delighted to be partnering with the Victorian Government to deliver these programs, ensuring this investment reaches every corner of Victoria's music ecosystem and helps it continue to sustain and grow.”
