EMI/Universal Music Australia Signs Breakout Country Artist (EXCLUSIVE)

EMI/Universal Music Australia has signed burgeoning country artist Denvah, The Music Network can exclusively reveal.

Managed by Melita Hodge and Andy Bryan of Six Boroughs Management, the signing comes as the Rockhampton songwriter gears up for the release of brand new single, “Better Weather,” on September 2nd.

“The Six Boroughs team have always been drawn to artists with a talent for storytelling, a unique voice and a quality of musicianship that stands out from the crowd. Denvah has all those key ingredients in spades,” Hodge told The Music Network.

"It's then about finding like-minded people to help you develop that talent. Joining the EMI family, a label we’ve had as long association with, is a reflection of that.

“We’re delighted to partner with them in the pursuit to breaking another talented Australian artist.”

Denvah first began garnering attention after winning both Groundwater Country Music Festival's KIX-Start competition and the Gympie Music Muster Talent Search in 2023, before coming third in Australian Idol in 2024.

“Denvah is an incredibly special artist and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the EMI Music Australia family,” EMI Music Australia Managing Director, Mark Holland, added.

"Denvah has a genuine sense of who she is, what she wants to say and the audience she wants to connect with. We believe she has the potential to become an important new voice in Australian music.”

Next week's release of “Better Weather” will be the first taste of Denvah's debut album, set for release in 2027.

After performing at Gympie Music Muster this week, Denvah will head to BIGSOUND in Brisbane next week.
