Australian artist James Johnston has ticked off another milestone - headlining Sweden's premier country music event — the High Chaparral Country Festival.

The Queensland-based songwriter closed out the 2026 event this past weekend in front of a crowd of 6,000 festivalgoers where he performed tracks from his October 2025-released album, Where You'll Find Me.

Check out some of the footage below.

The Swedish run comes after Johnston performed at CMC Rocks and released new single, “Smoke I've Known” - a collaboration with US country artist, Chase Matthew.

Looking ahead, Johnston will perform at Townsville's Country Fest and Camden's Boots N' Beats next weekend, before playing at the Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races in August. He will then head to the UK for a headline tour with dates in Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester — a run that sold out in under 10 minutes before venue upgrades were announced to keep up with demand.
