Award-Winning Producer Rob Amoruso Extends Publishing Deal With Mushroom Music
Award-winning Melbourne-based songwriter and producer Rob Amoruso has extended his publishing deal with Mushroom Music.

Melbourne songwriter and producer Rob Amoruso has extended his publishing deal with Mushroom Music, continuing a partnership that has accompanied a significant run of releases and accolades.
Amoruso has established himself as a prolific collaborator across the music industry, with credits spanning artists including Imagine Dragons, G Flip, Baker Boy, The Rubens, Mia Wray, Budjerah, Thelma Plum, KIAN, Briggs, Slowly Slowly, Haiku Hands, Emma Donovan, Mitch Tambo, The Moving Stills, Jean Deaux, and Pardyalone.
His catalogue includes work on multiple ARIA No. 1 releases, while Amoruso has collected five ARIA Awards and been named Writer/Producer of the Year by the Music Producers & Engineers’ Guild (MPEG).
“I am incredibly thankful for every opportunity,” Amoruso said. “If I’m being honest - I’m less interested in the music industry, and more focused on the people industry - I do everything I can to build people up and add value to them … everything else is noise!
“Mushroom Music has an incredible legacy of championing songwriters, and I’m excited to continue my partnership with a team that shares my vision for building meaningful, long-term creative careers both in Australia and internationally.”
Mushroom Music Senior Director A&R and Creative Erol Yurdagul said the publisher had witnessed Amoruso's development from his early days as a member of Melbourne five-piece Jakubi. “It’s been a joy to be a part of Rob’s growth as a writer and producer from his early days with Jakubi to now working with some of the top artists both in Australia and globally,” he said.
“One thing that has been clear from the start is Rob’s commitment to artist development and his genuine passion and care for artists and their craft. Rob is one of the kindest and most talented people you would hope to meet. A great combination that will serve him well into this next stage of his career.”

Amoruso began his career with Jakubi, whose early success led to deals with Epic Records and Capitol Records in the US. During his time there, he worked with artists including Macy Gray and Kelly Rowland and received mentorship from production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Since returning to Australia, Amoruso has continued building his songwriting and production catalogue. His work with Baker Boy contributed to Gela, which won Album of the Year at the 2022 ARIA Awards, while more recent collaborators have included Mia Wray, The Rubens, and Budjerah.
Outside his own songwriting and production work, Amoruso founded Heart & Soul Music Group, which focuses on artist, songwriter and producer development. The company has recently expanded its offering alongside longtime collaborator Anna Leeworthy to include branding, marketing, A&R and distribution.
