ARIA Charts: DMA'S Land First-Ever No. 1 Album
DMA'S have scored their first-ever No. 1 album in Australia and in doing so, are just the second local act to reach the top of the ARIA Albums chart in 2026.
DMA'S have scored their first-ever No. 1 album in Australia and in doing so, are just the second local act to reach the top of the ARIA Albums chart in 2026.
The Sydney-formed trio's latest effort and first with Wonderlick Recording Company/Sony Music Australia, DMA'S, also debuted at the top of the Australian Albums, Digital Albums and Physical Australian Albums charts.
Their last two albums - 2023's How Many Dreams? and 2020's The Glow - both peaked at No. 2.
DMA'S follow Karnivool as the only Australian act to reach the Albums chart summit in 2026.
“Congratulations to DMA’S on a career best chart performance, taking the number one spot with their self-titled album no less," ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said.
"This is just another achievement in a string of incredible work over more than a decade and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome them to the top of the ARIA Chart.”

Meanwhile, Tasmania's Miss Kannina has hit No. 2 on the Australian Albums chart, No. 4 on the Vinyl chart and No. 8 on the main Albums list with her debut mixtape, BLACKPRINT, while local singer-songwriter Vera Blue's fourth studio album, Modern Rituals, has come in at No. 3 on the Australian Albums and Vinyl chart, and No. 12 on the main chart.
The only new top 20 entry this week is K-Pop boy band Enhyphen's The Sin: Bliss (No. 20).
Over on the Singles chart, Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has reclaimed No. 1 for an 11th non-consecutive week.
Of note, Josh Fawaz' remix of Madonna's "Like a Prayer," which was recently updated to acknowledge the use of AI for both its vocals and drums, has been removed from the Australian Artist Singles list, having regularly featured in the top five in recent months.
It comes just days after ARIA announced that wholly AI-generated recordings will no longer be eligible for the Australian charts.
