ARIA Charts: Fontaines D.C. and Tate McRae Score First No. 1s

Fontaines D.C. and Tate McRae have claimed their first Australian No. 1s, while several local acts have made strong debuts on this week's ARIA Charts.

Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. topped the Albums Chart with their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, which also landed at No. 1 on the Vinyl Chart. It's their fourth Australian top 50 appearance, following A Hero's Death (No. 26), Skinty Fia (No. 24) and Romance (No. 6).

Australian acts also featured prominently, with The Avalanches' No Bad Memories debuting at No. 5, The Rubens' Group Therapy at No. 6 and Tina Arena's Way of the World at No. 11.

On the Singles Chart, Canadian pop star Tate McRae scored her first No. 1 with "Housewife", the lead single from her forthcoming fourth album. It marks her sixth Australian top 10 hit, surpassing the No. 2 peak of "Greedy" in 2023.

Olivia Rodrigo's "Expectations" also surged from No. 78 to No. 2 following the release of a new version featuring Chappell Roan, while Ashe's "Stop the Wedding" reached a new peak of No. 7.
